The challenging process of educating is in demanding need for solutions on how technology will change education. public schools had one computer for instructional use.

Society seems to be fascinated by the eruption of technological advancements in the educational field. By 1991 that percentage increased to ninety-eight percent (Alhalabi p.22).

In The Art of Fiction, John Gardner said, “The business of education is to give the student useful information and life-enhancing experience, one largely measurable, the other not…” One of the main reasons technologies are becoming so popular in today’s education is because it is introduced to children at any earlier age They need to understand how the current structure of a teacher’s and learner’s day impact on their effective use of technology.”[2] Not only will this make the students more and more independent, it will make the teachers somewhat nerve wrecking.

The teacher will still be responsible for his or her students and should continue to promote appropriate behavior, even if it means on the computer.

“Students will construct their own learning through electronic resources, and the role of traditional teacher will be obsolete.”[3] [4] In schools today, technology is a necessity to some certain curriculums.

Although it coasts money to supply not only computers, but printers, scanners, and additional programs, it is for the benefit of the children. From much research, I have found out that today, elementary schools are introducing their students to virtual tours online, multimedia components, and even touch screen computers. As these students get older, they continue to cross paths with technology.Although Power Point is already widely available for upper lever classrooms, middle school and beyond, I can foresee them used in elementary school as well, third grade and beyond.Electron microscopes will also be used in my classroom to help with insects on insects or other small animals. It is obvious that technology is effecting all aspects of today’s education.Technology in the Classroom Classrooms of the future will be different than they are today; as they will include more and newer forms of technology. These technological advances will be readily available for use by both students and teachers.I see my classroom making use of the many forms of technology that are available, including: Power Point presentations, electron microscopes, video conferencing, web-sites, and smart boards. These will most likely be used in a science environment and would aid in better understanding of anatomies. For example, a classroom from the Clear View Charter School used these microscopes to help learn about the anatomy of a bee.
